Voluntary Service is a key fundamental principal of the American Red Cross because volunteers are at the heart of our mission!
At the American Red Cross of Central Augusta, the caring hearts and helping hands of more than 500 volunteers are essential to providing vital programs and services within the 11-county service area. The fact that 96% of the Red Cross workforce is comprised of volunteers means that we can stretch donated dollars to successfully meet the needs of our community.
Volunteers from all walks of life are involved in every aspect of the organization - from the front lines of a disaster to behind-the-scenes office support.
Volunteers are always needed to:
Respond to disasters locally or nationally
Educate the community on safety and disaster preparedness issues
Provide office support |
Teach health and safety classes like First Aid and CPR |
Help during special events such as telethons and fundraisers |
And much more! |
| We are truly delighted to welcome you to the American Red Cross, a team of people who have dedicated their time to assisting others. |
